Paul Patton profile & top ten questions
Paul has over 16 years of Public Relations and Marketing consultancy
experience across both the public and private sectors.
His early career included working as a programme publicist for Mersey
Television on television shows including Brookside, and the launch of
Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, before moving on to produce regional news programmes
for radio with Sunset 102FM. Paul has also worked on UK and European Public
Relations for the Euro ’96 football tournament.
Paul has a wide ranging background in consumer, property, and regeneration
PR. His public sector experience includes the provision of PR, marketing and
advertising consultancy for Hulme Regeneration Ltd. (joint partnership
between Manchester City Council and AMEC) and the Hulme and Moss Side
Partnership (part of Manchester City Council), which effectively re-branded
one of Manchester’s most run down urban areas as a dynamic, regenerated,
stylish urban living space.
Paul’s in-depth experience in property and regeneration PR includes advising
some of the UK’s biggest residential property developers, such as Bellway
Homes, Miller Homes, Gleeson Homes, Persimmon Homes, and Countryside
Properties. Paul has a good working relationship with all media but has
particularly strong relationships with regional broadcast, regional print,
and property trade/consumer media. His strong track record focuses on crisis
management, urban regeneration, residential property PR and consumer
campaigns.
As a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Paul’s ethos
predicates a professional, ethical, and strategic approach to Public
Relations management that ensures high quality campaigns are effectively
managed, controlled and implemented. Maintaining a high level of emphasis on
value for money, return on investment and building excellent working
relationships between clients, the media, and potential audiences is central

Dressing up as a cowboy aged five and enjoying a shoot out with my friends
whilst living in Chelmsford, Essex
2. What was your first ever job?
I was around 14 year old and tried my hand as a breakfast ‘waiter’ at the
Manor Hotel in Harrogate
3. Who is your role model and why?
I don’t have a role model but have found the Dali Lama to be particularly
inspirational
4. By what motto do you live your life?
“You reap what you sow”, and the Buddhist principles of Karma

A bowl of Porridge & regular visits to the Gym

Pitch – because we are very good at winning them

Preferably made in Belgium using the finest quality chocolate
9. If I could change the world I would…
Encourage everyone to fully recognise that if we don’t implement some
